How many years have you been working as a barista?
I’ve only been working as a barista for 6 months. When I started working at Riverside Café & Bar, I was a waiter. I didn’t know anything about making coffee, but I was interested in learning. I asked my boss, he said I could give it a go, and so I started teaching myself through Youtube videos.
What do you love most about being a barista at Riverside Café & Bar?
I love when there’s way too many dockets and time goes so fast! It doesn’t feel like I’ve worked that long.
Tell us one thing you love about working in South Bank?
It’s such a nice environment. I like to work near the riverside, it’s a beautiful view.
What is the craziest coffee order you’ve ever received?
There was one customer that asked for a gluten-free coffee. I wasn’t quote sure if she was meaning decaf or something like that…
What is your go-to latte art design?
I normally go for the heart. I’ve been trying to learn how to make the swan but it’s so hard!
