Truck Week 25 is rolling into South Bank from 12 to 18 May, bringing serious horsepower and a whole lot of action. From the chrome-stacked rig showcase along Little Stanley Street to pro and amateur boxing matches in the Piazza, there’s no shortage of high-octane excitement. Add to that a jam-packed line up of free family entertainment, hands-on activities, pop-up fun zones and interactive displays that’ll keep the energy pumping all week.
And between pit stops, you’ll want to refuel with these flavour-packed eats that go just as hard as the trucks.
Barbossa
Got a serious appetite from checking out those monster rigs? Barbossa’s Southern Fried Chicken Burger has your name on it. We’re talking crispy fried chicken, bacon, slaw and chipotle mayo all stuffed into a pillowy milk bun, plus a pile of chips on the side. It’s loud, it’s satisfying and it’s Truck Week in a bun.
Popolo
After a lap of Little Stanley Street, wind down with riverside views and a slice of Italy at Popolo. Their Diavola pizza is spicy, cheesy and just the right amount of indulgent with hot abruzzo salami, fior di latte and olives. Add a chilled Peroni to your order and you’ve got yourself the perfect post-showroom feast.
Tippler’s Tap
Need a break between boxing bouts? Slide into Tippler’s for an easy crowd-pleaser. Load up a beer card, pour your own brew and get stuck into beer-loaded fries or a fully-stacked Chicago dog. With sport on every screen, this is the ultimate Truck Week chill zone.
Brooklyn Depot
All that truck spotting deserves a burger to match and the Depot Burger at Brooklyn Depot is as bold as they come. Double patties, crispy bacon, grilled pineapple and their signature Depot sauce bring the flavour in full force. It’s the burger equivalent of a big rig.
Smokehouse
The sizzle is real over at Smokehouse. Serving up South African-style braii (bbq), expect ribs marinated in secret sauce, flame-grilled tomahawks, seafood, lamb cutlets and more. When the trucks go hard, your plate should too, and this menu absolutely delivers.
The Charming Squire
Need a pit stop? The Charming Squire’s pulled pork sliders are calling. Smoky BBQ pork, crunchy slaw and pickles all nestled in soft buns paired with a cold tap beer is the perfect way to wrap up a day of Truck Week adventures.
