This weekend, wave goodbye to Uber Eats, Netflix and your favourite pair of track pants. The week is over and it’s time to celebrate in style… with a couple of cheeky cocktails and share plates of course!
To take your weekend plans from a seven to a solid ten out of ten, we’ve rounded up the best spots in South Bank for a luxurious cocktail experience.
Poppies – They may be the new kids on the block, but when it comes to cocktails Poppies does not disappoint. Serving up all the classics, alongside a few quirky, new creations, their Clover Club cocktail is *chefs kiss* perfection.
Barbossa Bar – Escape to the Caribbean with one of Barbossa’s signature cocktail creations. Specialising in all things rum related, their Barrel Aged Old Fashioned – made with your choice of rum and orange bitters - will have you feeling like you’re on holidays in no time.
Bourbon Street – Enjoy a bit of Southern hospitality with a cocktail (or two) at Bourbon Street! The perfect place for weekend drinks and drool-worthy eats, their extensive cocktail list features more than 30 different drinks, with quality bourbon and whisky being their speciality (as their name suggests).
The Jetty – Spice up your weekend plans with a watermelon margarita at The Jetty. The ultimate riverside location for weekend dining with friends or family, their cocktail list includes everything from a classic espresso martini to an ink gin fizz.
OTTO – Treat yourself to a luxe dining experience at OTTO (complete with a couple of signature cocktails of course). Offering the most insane drinks list, you can trust us when we say that their strawberry basil smash is to die for.
Ma Pa Me – If you’re a big of fan modern, Asian flavours, you’ll want to get yourself to Ma Pa Me STAT! Creating a cocktail list that pairs seamlessly with their delicious, banquet-style menu, their spiced mango daiquiri with white rum, mango, Thai basil, and charred lime is an absolute winner.
Brooklyn Depot – When it comes to Instagram worthy cocktails, Brooklyn Depot takes the cake. Fun, fresh and super decadent, their ‘The One With The Fairy Floss’ cocktail – made with vodka, peach liquer, apple juice, passionfruit, lime and fairy floss – is a crowd fave.
Ole – If sangria is the way to your heart (trust us, the feeling’s mutual), you need to book yourself a table at Ole ASAP. With six different types of sangria to choose from, in addition to a huge cocktail menu, you’ll be spoilt for choice.
Ahmet's – We all love the live belly dancing at Ahmet’s, but have you tried their signature Belly Dancer Martini? Made with vodka, Cointreau, aromatic rosewater, pomegranate, and garnished with Turkish delight, it’s hard to just stop at one!
