We may not have flights booked for Europe this summer, but you best believe we’ll still be soaking up those Tuscan vibes with delicious food and beautiful wine…
We’re not just talking about your average pizza and pasta combo! Popolo – one of South Bank’s most iconic riverside restaurants – has just announced the second instalment of its Tavola Wine Dinner Series, Tuscan Nights, and we guarantee this luxurious evening will be a welcome distraction from your friends impending Euro plans.
Taking place on the 31st of May at 6:30pm, get ready for an incredible Tuscan-inspired shared banquet menu, lovingly designed by Head Chef Francesco, and seven specially paired wines. Leading you on a tantalising tour of Tuscany, prepare to graze on dishes like their panzanella salad with heirloom tomatoes, bocconcini mozzarella, pickled onions, olives, white anchovies and croutons, assorted cured meats with pecorino Toscano, cacio ricotta and grissini, chickpea pasta with tender pork cheeks, grilled T-bone steak with Tuscan kale, and sweet almond biscuit to finish. You can’t tell us your mouth isn’t already watering…
Dotted with a stunning mix of Tuscan varietals (Sangiovese lovers, eat your heart out!), this carefully curated dinner menu will tempt the taste buds of any great wine lover. We’re talking a smooth journey from a lighter Vermentino blend and Rosato to the deep blush colours of Chianti and Montepulciano.
Tickets are available now for $160 per person and are sure to get snapped up quick! Grab yours here…
