Get hyped for Friday, 31 October, and Saturday, 1 November, Trick or Treat Little Stanley Street is back and bigger than ever. This Halloween, South Bank’s favourite laneway is transforming into a spooktacular wonderland, complete with eerie decorations, ghost trains, kids craft, a free spooky scavenger hunt (book your spot here), Halloween markets, and roving performers ready to delight.
But the real treat is the food. From creepy-cute festival snacks to Halloween-inspired cocktails and special menu items across your favourite South Bank venues, there is plenty to tempt both little monsters and grown-up ghouls. Whether it is spooky nachos, pumpkin-filled ravioli or themed drinks like Witches Brew and Dracula Delight, this weekend is a full-on feast for the senses.
From 5pm on both nights, Little Stanley Street is where the sights, sounds, and flavours of Halloween collide, perfect for families, friends, and anyone who loves a little fright with their feast.
Baba Ganouj
Dare to try their haunting black cuttlefish dish, paired with the green and red Zombie Lagoon cocktail, featuring Malibu, Midori, pineapple juice, lime juice and grenadine. Available throughout October and Halloween weekend, 31 October – 2 November.
Ahmet’s
Halloween never tasted so good. Indulge in the pumpkin and haloumi pide with roast pumpkin, fire-roasted red onion, feta and sea salt. For drinks, try The Last Sip, a dark and citrusy cocktail with tequila, triple sec, grapefruit syrup, zesty lime foam, spooky pumpkin garnish and black salt rim. Gnocchi Gnocchi Brothers
Celebrate the season with pumpkin-filled ravioli, a limited-time Halloween special. Available 31 October – 1 November and in the lead-up weeks.
Brooklyn Depot
Spin the wheel of flavour with their wing roulette — five buffalo wings plus a mystery wing. Sweet tooth? Sip on the bloody margarita (raspberry flavoured) or Sully’s Juice (vodka pineapple martini). Available all October and Halloween weekend, 31 October – 1 November.
Barbossa
Kids can feast on clown pizza, spooky spaghetti and dino nuggets while adults sip Halloween cocktails like Witches Brew, made with Chambord, orange juice, white rum, red wine and fairy floss, or Six Feet Sour, featuring sambuca, lemon, sugar and egg white. Southbeach
Available Trick or Treat weekend, Southbeach is serving up two devilishly good cocktails. Go bold with the Trick, a mix of Olmeca Altos tequila, Midori, sugar and lime juice. Or keep it sweet with the Treat, blending vodka, blue Curaçao, grenadine and Sprite.
South Bank Beer Garden
Available Trick or Treat weekend, Southbank Beer Garden is pouring the Zombie Soda, a spooky sip of Midori, lavender, grenadine and cherry mint garnish. For something a little sweeter, try the Candy Apple, made with butterscotch schnapps, casa vanilla vodka, apple juice and lemon.
Poca Madre
Celebrate Día de los Muertos with a feast full of flavour at Fiesta de Vida. From 31 October to 2 November, staff will be donning painted faces, the venue will be decked out in traditional décor, and you can expect games and prizes to keep the party vibes alive all weekend. For just $55 per person (minimum two guests), enjoy a special set menu starting with shared snacks like Chido Guacamole with blue corn totopos, cheesy Esquites Y Queso, and a blue corn quesadilla with manchego, mushroom and spinach. For mains, each guest can choose from Flautas de Pollo with chipotle sauce or Chorizo Queso Fundido with manchego, sour cream, totopos and tortilla. To finish, share Pan de Muertos, the traditional Mexican “Day of the Dead” bread served with dulce de leche. Colourful, cultural and delicious, it’s the perfect way to celebrate all weekend long.
El Camino
Fiesta de Vida is serving up a Halloween feast like no other from 20 October – 2 November. Think monster tacos, Corn Carnage, Freaky Fried Chicken, Ribs of the Dead and a line-up of spine-chilling Halloween cocktails to keep the party going. For those chasing more thrills, the pre-Halloween parties on 24–25 October bring DJs, spooky décor and costumed staff, while the Big Halloweekend on 31 October – 1 November ramps things up with DJs, face painting, best dressed prizes and a Polaroid wall. Alemré Pop-Ups at Trick or Treat Little Stanley Street
Alemré’s Halloween pop-ups have all the festival favourites covered. Spooky House serves Halloween Nachos with bean chilli, house queso, pico de gallo, shredded cheese, blue corn chips and sour cream, with optional beef, chicken or guacamole. There’s also the Spooky Hot Dog, Carnival Dogwood Dogs, fries and loaded fries with spooky cheese sauce and bacon, plus slushies like the Franken-tini and Dracula Delight.
Over at the Nightmare on Wheels carts, grab toffee apples, popcorn and spooky punches. Kart 1 features Witch’s Brew Punch with apple and pineapple juice, ginger ale and spooky jellies, while Kart 2 serves Hocus Pocus, a mix of apple, orange and cranberry juice, raspberry cordial and sprite, topped with jellies and cotton candy.
