Get hyped for Friday, 31 October and Saturday, 1 November, because Trick or Treat Little Stanley Street is back and bigger than ever. This Halloween, South Bank’s Little Stanley Street will transform into a spooktacular wonderland filled with eerie decorations, ghost trains, kids’ craft, roving performers and more! There will also be markets and plenty of festive bites and brews to explore.
Whether you’re chasing creepy-cute snacks with the kids or themed cocktails with your crew, this weekend is packed with tricks, treats and tasty fun for all ages.
For the Kids
Alemré Pop-Ups
Alemré’s Halloween pop-ups are a must. At Spooky House, try Halloween Nachos with bean chilli, queso and blue corn chips, or go classic with Carnival Corn Dogs and loaded fries with spooky cheese sauce and bacon. At the Nightmare on Wheels carts, grab toffee apples, popcorn and colourful Halloween punches like Witch’s Brew or Hocus Pocus topped with jellies and cotton candy.
Barbossa
Keep bellies full with clown pizza, spooky spaghetti and dino nuggets before heading off for more Halloween adventures.
Cork & Chroma
Little ghouls can get creative with spooky colouring-in sessions and Halloween-themed canvas creations for $15 per person. No bookings required, just swing by and let their imaginations run wild.
And with ghost trains, craft stations and roving performers all evening long, there’s no shortage of fun to keep little monsters entertained.
For the Adults
Poca Madre
South Bank is about to get a serious dose of colour and flavour because Poca Madre is going all out for Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). From 31 October to 2 November, the modern Mexican hotspot will be decked out with painted faces, traditional décor, games, prizes and a special menu that’s impossible to resist. Even better, it all runs alongside Trick or Treat Little Stanley Street, so you can soak up the Halloween vibes in one spot.
Start with one of their themed cocktails. The Cempasúchil Sour brings together tequila, Aperol and lemon, while the Altar de Ofrenda smokes things up with mezcal, elderflower and ginger beer. The La Llorona blends strawberry, lime and charcoal for a bold twist, and the El Último Trago mixes mezcal, watermelon and cranberry for a fruity sunset-ready sip.
The $55 set menu for two or more is designed for sharing, starting with blue corn quesadillas stuffed with manchego, mushroom and spinach, cheesy street-style corn salsa and house guac with blue corn totopos. Mains include crispy chicken flautas with smoky chipotle sauce or bubbling chorizo queso fundido with warm tortillas. Finish on a sweet note with Pan de Muertos, the traditional Day of the Dead bread served with dulce de leche.
Baba Ganouj
Try their haunting black cuttlefish dish paired with the green and red Zombie Lagoon cocktail, made with Malibu, Midori, pineapple juice, lime juice and grenadine. Available all October and across Halloween weekend.
