No Euro summer plans? No worries. South Bank is stepping up with a très chic winter glow-up, bringing a little slice of Paris to the heart of Brisbane. From 6 June to 14 July, South Bank’s Cultural Forecourt is transforming into our very own City of Light, and honestly, it’s giving Eiffel Tower sparkle after dark.
The centrepiece? A jaw-dropping, four-storey tower inspired by the iconic Eiffel itself. It’s already serving picnic-perfect vibes by day, but the real magic hits after sunset. Every 15 minutes from 5pm to 10pm, this beauty bursts to life with a custom light show that’s straight-up dazzling. Think colour, shimmer and Paris energy against the city skyline. You’ll be taken by the view like you were in Paris, like you were somewhere else. Plus, keep your eyes peeled, surprise performers will pop up to sprinkle a little extra je ne sais quoi.
Need more ooh la la? Le Festival is back from 4 to 6 July with a weekend of wine, cheese, crêpes, French music and market stalls that’ll have you saying oui oui in no time. It’s basically the Parisian getaway you didn’t know you needed, minus the wretched 24-hour flight.
Whether you’re planning a cosy date night, a riverside hang with your crew or just want to soak up some Euro vibes, South Bank’s Paris pop-up is here to deliver. Come for the glow, stay for the food, fun and full French flair.
Brissy’s own version of Paris is calling, and you’ll want to pick up.
