We were lucky enough to score a seat at Denim Co’s Flavour Meets Florals event on Mother’s Day and trust us, it was the moment. Guests were treated to a sneak peek of the brand-new winter menu, plus a floral vegetable arrangement session that looked straight out of a Pinterest board. Think vegetable-inspired bouquets, fresh blooms and next-level food styling.
Fun fact: Fara, the legend behind Denim Co, has owned the café for 24 years. When it first opened back in 2001, it was part fashion boutique, part coffee stop. They sold denim and wardrobe staples alongside your daily caffeine fix. Yep, that’s where the name comes from. No wonder their events are so Pinterest-worthy—with that kind of fashion pedigree, it’s in their DNA.
While the veggie arrangements were a one-day wonder, the winter menu is here to stay. And you’ll 100% want to work your way through it. Here’s what’s new:
Fried Chicken Egg Waffle
Sweet, spicy, crunchy, creamy! This dish really said, "Why not all of the above?" Golden crumbed chicken is stacked on a fluffy Belgian waffle, topped with maple-glazed kale (yes, kale can be fun), a jammy poached egg and a spicy aioli that brings the heat. It’s the brunch mash-up you didn’t know you needed.
Poached Pear Granola
If winter was a brunch dish, this would be it. Juicy pear, poached in a spiced chocolate and cinnamon infusion, gets cosy with honey-roasted oat granola and a big spoonful of creamy Greek yoghurt. It’s warm, it’s comforting, it’s giving dessert-for-breakfast energy and we’re obsessed.
Falafel Pita Pocket
This pita pocket is packing serious flavour. We’re talking crispy falafel, velvety hummus, fresh tomato salad, punchy mango pickle and a drizzle of yoghurt dressing to tie it all together. It’s fresh, fiery and basically tastes like a sunny holiday in sandwich form.
