The iconic Langmeil Barossa Wine Dinner is back at The Charming Squire for its 11th year on May 29 and it’s shaping up to be an unmissable evening of good food, even better wine and all-around luxe vibes.
For one night only, you’ll be treated to five seriously decadent courses, each expertly paired with a glass of Langmeil’s most-loved drops. We’re talking seven wines, five courses and one truly unforgettable night. Tickets will set you back $149 per person and trust us, it’s worth every sip.
Kicking things off is a glass of 2024 Bella Rouge Rosé served with saison kangaroo salami, hummus, lavosh and saltbush. From there, the 2024 Live Wire Riesling brings the perfect zing to an octopus terrine with finger lime and pickled green peach. Next up, enjoy roasted Patagonian toothfish with bean salad and chardonnay beurre blanc, matched with the 2024 High Road Chardonnay.
Then comes the hero of the night. Slow-cooked beef sirloin, fondant potato, escargot and bordelaise sauce paired with not one but two bold reds, the 2017 Valley Floor Shiraz and the 2022 Orphan Bank Shiraz. To finish? Red wine poached quince tart, drunken buffalo cheese and a petite salad served with the 2017 Blacksmith Cab Sauv and the 2022 Jackaman’s Cab Sauv.
