PSA. A new pop-up Greek restaurant has just opened its doors at South Bank’s very own River Quay!
Taking it’s name from Greece’s Ionian Island of Ithaka, this luxe riverfront restaurant is set to become THE go-to spot to indulge in delectable Greek cuisine in Brisbane.
Diners will love the stunning Mediterranean vibe, complete with fresh neutral colours, olive trees, and an epic riverfront and city view!
Now onto the food, glorious food, and drinks. The menu has been inspired by its sun-soaked namesake island, so you can expect to see an epic line-up of mouth-watering dishes that speak to the region. Conveniently split into ‘Flora,’ ‘Ocean’ and ‘Fauna,’ it features a variety of char-grilled seafood, traditional meat dishes, and plates of vibrant vegetable creations.
In our humble opinion, you need to add the spanakopita, grilled and glazed octopus finished with chilli and paprika and their classic chicken souvlaki accompanied by garlic yoghurt and sumac onion, to your must-try list! Oh, and did we mention they also have a drinks list brimming with Greek wines and spirits that complement their delish dishes perfectly! Take a sneak-peek at the menu here.
If you want the full Ithaka experience, you can’t go past the set taste menu options, which have been carefully curated with their best dishes! Trust us, it’s the best way to take the guesswork out of the dreaded task of trying to pick your fave dishes (score!). Check out the taste menu here.
Fair warning, we have a feeling this will be the hottest restaurant spot in Brisbane leading into the festive season. So, make sure you get your bookings in ASAP.
