Nothing beats the feeling of bringing in the New Year with epic views, great food and good company!
But we all know that what should be a truly joyous occasion can often turn stressful in mere seconds (cue someone stealing your park, misplaced New Year’s tickets and the long wait trying to get home at 1am). So, to ensure you have a memorable night for all the right reasons, we’ve rounded up our top tips and tricks for this year’s NYE celebrations in South Bank.
This is typically the most dreaded part of New Year’s, are we right or are we right? However, depending on how you want to get in, there are some things to keep in mind that will alleviate the stress.
If you’re taking public transport: Luckily for us, South Bank is surrounded by a myriad of transport options, which means you should have no trouble finding the right bus/ferry/train for you. Remember, preparation is key though so jump onto the TransLink website and ensure you plan your journey before you get to the platform!
IF YOU'RE DRIVING
Save yourself the stress this year by pre-booking a park online! The South Bank Car Park portal provides you with instant confirmation on your park, meaning that you won't miss out on one this NYE. Find out more here…
Ah, the main event! Grab a good vantage spot along the river and take in the spectacular fireworks display as we kiss goodbye to 2022 and welcome 2023 with a bang! This year, there will be two fantastic firework displays: one at 8.30pm for younger partygoers and another at midnight for late-night revellers.
NO TICKETS? NO WORRIES!
Thought you had New Year’s tickets sorted only to discover at 7pm on December 31st that you never pressed ‘purchase’? Luckily, walk ins are welcome at some of South Bank’s best bars, so if you find yourself ticket-less this New Year’s Eve, our tip is to try one of the following: El Camino Cantina, Barbossa Bar & Bottle Shop, Tippler’s Tap or Hop & Pickle.
IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THE PARTY GOING
