Calling all wine connoisseurs! The Charming Squire is hosting their ever so popular Must Dine Langmeil dinner for the ninth consecutive year on October 18th!
What makes it an event a wine connoisseur doesn’t want to miss you may ask? Well, the whole menu has been expertly crafted to match the fine wine from Langmeil Winery in the Barossa region of course! Trust us when we say this event is the ultimate way to treat yourself.
While guests sip and savour the delicious food and wine on offer, they’ll discover what it takes to make exceptional wine and the thought process that goes into matching fine wine with a tailored menu from the Langmeil Winery team!
Now onto the food glorious food, and wine that’s on the menu! Guests will start their indulgent dining journey with the delicious canape - the wattle seed damper with cultured butter! Then the first bottle of wine will be cracked open for the night – the Stelle Nere sparkling shiraz to complement the venison with saltbush and rosella!
The second course is the deliciously fresh Angasi oyster with pancetta, warragal greens, parmesan, Sydney rock oyster, rose mignonette, and Davidson plum – paired perfectly with the refreshing Bella Rouge rosé. The third course keeps the seafood theme going with delicious snapper with macadamia, spinach, and lemon myrtle hollandaise that’s paired with the fresh zesty citrus flavours of the High Road chardonnay.
The fourth course moves to a heartier offering with the pepper berry pork loin with wood-roasted yam and bush tomato. Thoughtfully paired with the dry, spicy, and fruity Della Mina Sangiovese Barbera wine. The final course before dessert is the kangaroo pie with campfire carrot, potato, and red wine jus with a glass of the fruity and spicy Fifth Wave grenache. The dinner ends on a sweet note with the Davidson plum pudding and the Orphan Bank shiraz.
